Now that we know how to build a custom theme, let's try something quicker for businesses or individuals who do not know how to code. Let's create a website in 15 minutes or less.

Step Hosting

Either have website hosting, use a local development server, or purchase hosting. It is required for this tutorial.

To have a website that people can access online, you need a domain (your .com address) and hosting. Hosting is where the files go that display your website. We use A2Hosting, but you can get hosting from other companies like GoDaddy, Bluehost, HostGator, etc.

Own your domain and website with A2Hosting by quickly signing up for their service using my link above.

Step Install WordPress

If you have never installed WordPress or would like to learn how I created a tutorial in a previous episode that details how to manually install it. You can do this on your own server or locally. View the video here:

Step Add a Theme

We will be using the Astra in this tutorial.

Step Install Plugins

We will be using Astra Starter Templates. this plugin will allow you to select a pre-built template you can customize. As part of the template, Astra will install all required plugins and customizations for you to modify on your own.

1) Go to Appearance -- Starter Templates and find a theme you like by searching for your industry type. They have free and paid templates, so find the one that works best for you.

2) Once you find it, you can import the entire theme to make your website 100% look like their template. You can import images and the text from their demos.

3) View your website, now you have the exact site you previewed when you were looking for a template. Ta-Da. Now you can get started with your edits.

Step Customize Your Website.

Customizing your website with WordPress's builtin Customizer (Appearance -- Customize) and Elementor for the individual pages.

1) Browse to one of the existing pages or create a new page, click on the "Edit with Elementor" button.

2) Replace the images and text with your own!

3) Save changes

4) You're done.

Congratulations! You now have a fully responsive website for your business or client. It is as easy to 1-2-3. Just don't forget to view our duplicator video for details on how to get your website from a dev server to the domain and hosting you purchased ( If you didn't use a dev server, you should be good to go.
